The butterfly is a very fragile insect. A lot of kinds are threatened, others completely disappeared. The destruction of the habitat of the butterflies is the biggest threat of their redemption. Laws are now applied, in numerous countries, to restrict extreme collections. But, it is especially the clearance of the rain forest of Central America, owed in the extension of cities and in the plowing of the lands that put populations in danger. Many inoffensive insects are also killed by herbicides and insecticides.
